The University of California, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and University policy, prohibits discrimination against or harassment of any person at the University on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender expression, gender identity, gender transition status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related or genetic characteristics), ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship, or age. The Title IX Office at UC Santa Barbara oversees the campus response to reports of discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, gender expression, gender identity, gender transition status, pregnancy, and sexual orientation, as well as sexual violence, sexual harassment, and other-sex based prohibited behavior. Reported incidents of discrimination or harassment on the basis of all other protected categories are overseen by other campus offices and are beyond the jurisdiction of the Title IX Office.
